Mexico is leader in mobile internet traffic in Latin America, Apple’s iOS has largest market share

Mexico has the highest mobile internet traffic through smartphones and tablets, according to comScore (SCOR), a global leader in digital business analytics.

According to the source, 4.6% of internet traffic comes from mobile devices (primarily smartphones), then from tablets.

Apple’s iOS has 59.3% of the market share, whereas Android 22.83% and Symbian 3.83%.

However, the number of people who make purchases online is actually lower than that of countries outside Latin America, but it’s on the rise.

The most visited sites are Google and Facebook, and users spend about twice as much time in the latter.
